We’re excited to announce that KeyPay has entered into a National Sponsorship agreement with the Institute of Certified NZ Bookkeepers (ICNZB), an organisation which supports over 350 bookkeeping professionals across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our shared goals

With over 10 years of experience, KeyPay is a cloud payroll and workforce management platform that services over 200k businesses and 750+ partners across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Singapore and Malaysia. Since launching in the New Zealand market in 2019, we’re keen to streamline processes and save time for busy bookkeepers, accountants and outsourced payroll providers. As members of the Global Payroll Association and the New Zealand Payroll Practitioners Association, we’re also dedicated to ensuring local legislation compliance and supporting best practices for payroll.

The decision to partner with the ICNZB came from two realisations: that payroll in New Zealand is incredibly complex and tricky to navigate, and that bookkeepers need to be supported by trustworthy software that genuinely saves time and improves their processes.

With the Holidays Act, Payday filing, KiwiSaver and different employment agreements across SMEs, it can be time-consuming and daunting for payroll professionals to get it wrong.

With an NZ product specialist of 27 years at the forefront of KeyPay’s compliance, our partners and clients have peace of mind in knowing that they’re getting it right, each and every time. Our easy-to-use online payroll automates manual processes and simplifies Holidays Act compliance, to provide a superior experience for bookkeepers and their clients.

Through this newfound partnership and our mutual goals in mind, KeyPay is committed to providing valuable tools, resources and ongoing support to ICNZB members. Our goal is to change the perception of payroll, empower Kiwi bookkeepers and help them to realise their growth potential through harnessing powerful technology for their business and their clients.

George Loiterton, Global Head of Partnerships at KeyPay & Employment Hero, said: “We’re delighted to partner with ICNZB to provide trusted tools, resources and support for New Zealand bookkeepers and their growing businesses.

KeyPay is designed to simplify payroll and save time for bookkeepers and their SME clients. We hope that by partnering with ICNZB, we can change the perception of payroll - which has previously been overlooked as a revenue driver due to its complexities. We’re looking forward to helping ICNZB members to grow their client base, create additional revenue and help bookkeepers to add value to their services,” says George.

The Institute of Certified NZ Bookkeepers was founded in 2010 to support the growing number of New Zealand bookkeepers. Today, the ICNZB supports over 350 bookkeeping professionals and is committed to helping bookkeepers to achieve success.

Irene Bennetts, President of ICNZB says: “It is a testament to our members that KeyPay has recognised ICNZB as a valued partner to help them drive the uptake of their product in the New Zealand market. After chatting with the KeyPay team at Xerocon recently, I can confidently say we are all very excited to be working together.”

The decision to partner with KeyPay was propelled by the needs of the ICNZB’s members. Irene comments “As seen in the 2022 Industry Benchmark Survey, 91% of bookkeepers are providing payroll as a standard service in their business.  The sponsorship with KeyPay is a great fit to that demographic.”
