Business Development Specialist - NZ


Webscale requires a Business Development Specialist with a results-driven attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a focus on contributing to the Webscale organisation. The role will involve a combination of managing inbound enquiries, proactively exploring new business opportunities and delivering a service to these clients that exceeds their expectations, as well as targeting relationships to develop our business strategy.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Develop, build and manage your pipeline of leads, following up to complete the sales process
  • Learn the Webscale way of selling and working together
  • Respond to inbound enquiries from both direct businesses and partner enquiries
  • Work with the sales and Customer Success teams to manage the process of handling client feedback for longer term relationship management and prospective sales opportunities
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, where required, and where interested
  • Qualify partners and manage partner setups
  • Keep abreast of the KeyPay platform 
  • Contribute to event efforts and take part in event stand manning

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive and have sound logic when planning
  • A strong business acumen
  • Self-motivated and positive - able to handle pressure with a can-do attitude
  • Comfortable learning and using a wide range of web-based apps
  • Able to work remotely and unsupervised
  • Be able to self direct both learning and task management
  • Confidence and clarity in being able to deliver education and training
